Dear Compatriots and Friends of Bulgaria,
As Bulgarian Ambassador in London, I would like to welcome you to the Embassy's website, where you may find out more about some of our activities, the Embassy’s structure, as well as consular information and useful contacts.
2019 is the first year of my posting as Bulgarian Ambassador to London, but it also coincides with the 140th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and the United Kingdom. Almost a century and a half after that act of our two diplomatic services, Bulgaria and the UK today are close partners and allies within NATO and the EU, which has allowed us to reach a level of even more dynamic political, cultural, educational, and economic relations. The same has happened with the contacts between our citizens, which are more intensive than ever. I believe that this most natural connection between individuals, as well as the fact that Bulgaria and the UK belong to one community of shared civilizational heritage and values, guarantees that despite any challenges posed by Brexit, our countries will maintain the closest ties and will continue to develop and deepen them.
In this context, I would like to share that the Embassy is actively working and will continue with its efforts to protect the rights of Bulgarian citizens in the United Kingdom, and also than together with our British partners, we will strive to make Bulgaria even more attractive to British investors, students, tourists, as well as for UK citizens wishing to settle in our country.
