Alumni of the American College of Sofia who currently live and work in the United Kingdom gathered for their first reunion at the Embassy in London.

On March 10 this year, the Bulgarian stand at the London Book Fair was officially opened by Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev. Bulgaria participated for the third consecutive year in this prestigious international exhibition. The London Book Fair is among the leading global events in the field of publishing and provides a platform for cultural exchange and professional cooperation. The forum brings together writers, poets, translators, publishers, and literary critics from around the world, who discuss new projects and opportunities for partnership in literature and publishing.

The Embassy of Bulgaria in London marked with an official reception the 148th anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria and the restoration of Bulgarian statehood. This year is particularly significant for the Bulgarian people, as it also marks 150 years since the heroic epic of the April Uprising.

Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev met with Stephen Doughty, Minister of State for Europe, North America and the Overseas Territories in the Foreign Office.

Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev met with Dame Karen Bradley, DBE, MP for Staffordshire Moorlands at the UK Parliament and Chair of the Home Affairs Committee. She also serves as Chair of the APPG on Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery.

Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev met with the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Parliament of the United Kingdom the Rt Hon Emily Thornberry. Тhe Conservative party MP for Maldon constituency the Rt Hon Sir John Whittingdale and the Labour MP for Bolton West Mr. Phil Brickell also attended.

On December 5, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland H.E. Tihomir Stoytchev presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Charles III at Buckingham Palace. During the meeting with His Majesty King Charles III, Ambassador Stoytchev emphasised the cultural ties and the long history of over 145 years of diplomatic relations that bind our two countries. The Joint Declaration signed in October 2023 elevated these relations to a "strategic partnership".

On November 26, 2024, Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev met with Mr. James Asser, Labour party MP for West Ham and Beckton. There is a significant number of Bulgarian citizens residing in the constituency of the British MP. Both host and guest expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral relations and outlined joint actions to develop parliamentary cooperation, including the formation of an All-Party Parliamentary Group on Bulgaria in the UK Parliament.

On November 29, 2024, Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev met with Mr Bambos Charalambous, Labour party MP for Southgate and Wood Green constituency. The main topic of discussion was the formation of an All-Party Parliamentary Group on Bulgaria in the UK Parliament. Special attention was drawn to the collaboration on tackling illegal migration and small boats smuggling.

On 27 November 2024, an evening entitled Experience Bulgaria was held at the Embassy in London, during which the Wonders of Bulgaria episodes of the Treasures of the World series by Professor Bethany Hughes were presented.
