The interlocutors emphasised the active relations between Bulgaria and the UK in the last few years in a number of areas of mutual interest, especially in justice and home affairs, security and defense, education, culture and tourism. Mutual satisfaction was expressed with the visit of State Secretary David Lammy to Sofia, where, together with Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev, they launched a global campaign to promote family-type care for children around the world. Bulgaria was chosen as the country to launch the initiative due to the significant progress achieved in reforming social care.

Special attention was drawn to the partnership in the field of internal affairs. Ambassador Stoytchev emphasised the excellent cooperation in combating illegal migration and the role of Bulgaria in interrupting the logistical chains of "small boats deliveries".

The two countries have established good cooperation in combating disinformation. In recent years, numerous trainings to exchange know-how and build expert knowledge have been held.

Ambassador Stoytchev shared our desire to establish an APPG Group on Bulgaria in the British Parliament and to strengthen parliamentary cooperation.
