For yet another year, Bulgaria took part in the traditional Christmas concert in the Swedish capital, organized jointly by the European Commission Representation in Sweden, the embassies, and national cultural institutes of 23 EU Member States.

On May 23, 2025, Bulgaria's Ambassador to Sweden, Svetlana Stoycheva-Etropolski, met with the Lord Mayor and Chairman of the City Council of Gothenburg, Mr. Aslan Akbas.

For a consecutive year Bulgaria took part in the annual Christmas concert in Stockholm, organised together with the European Commission Representation in Sweden and the embassies and national cultural institutes of 19 EU Member States. Bulgarian Ambassador Svetlana Stoycheva-Etropolski also attended the event, which has become a traditional stage for cultural diversity in Europe. The programme of the charity initiative, which was greeted with festive cheer by more than 700 people at the Adolf Fredrik Church, included a performance of traditional Christmas carols in the languages of the participating countries. The funds raised will be donated to UNICEF to help children in Ukraine.

On 1 December 2024, the film "Because I Love Bad Weather" (2024), directed and written by Jana Lekarska, was screened at the fourth edition of the traditional European Film Festival in Stockholm. The Bulgarian participation was initiated by the Embassy in Stockholm and in cooperation with the National Film Centre at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Bulgaria successfully participated in the European Day of Languages organised by the EU Representation in Stockholm.

16 panels of various gold treasures were presented on the fence of the Еmbassy. The project was implemented with the support of the Institute of Balkan Studies with Center of Thracology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the State Institute for Culture to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in the process of implementing a large-scale project, coordinated in advance with all responsible institutions in Bulgaria and the EU, including the implementation and launch of a new version of the National Visa Information System (NVIS).

Оn May 20th, 2023, the Bulgarian Embassy in Stockholm hosted a celebration to mark the Day of the Bulgarian Enlightenment and Culture and the Slavic Alphabet – May 24th , as well as the end of the school year of the Bulgarian school in Stockholm.
