On March 3, 2026, the Bulgarian Embassy in Armenia organized an official reception on the National Day of the Republic of Bulgaria – March 3.

The President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturian, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria to Armenia, Nikola Nikolov.

On 2 March 2026, at the initiative of Ambassador Nikola Nikolov, a cultural event celebrating Baba Marta was held at the 131 Peyo Yavorov School. The event was also attended by the Romanian Ambassador, H.E. Cornel Ionescu, and the Serbian Ambassador, H.E. Tatiana Panayotovich-Cvetkovich.

Today, February 24, 2026, Ambassador Nikola Nikolov participated in an event organized by the EU Delegation to Armenia on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. In this regard, the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Vasilis Maragos, told the ambassadors of the member states and the acting head of Ukraine in Armenia, Valery Lobach, that the EU stands in solidarity with and supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. A ceremony was also held to raise the Ukrainian flag, attended by all EU ambassadors accredited in Yerevan.

On February 17, 2026 a protocol meeting was held at the Ministry of High Technology Industry of the Republic of Armenia between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Nikola Nikolov, and the Minister of High Technology Industry, Mkhitar Ayrapetian.

Today, January 29, 2026, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia, Nikola Nikolov, held a protocol meeting with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan.

From January 23 to 26, 2026, the Bulgaria-Armenia Friendship Group of the 51st National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria paid an official visit to the Republic of Armenia. The delegation was led by the Deputy Chair of the Group and Chair of the Internal Security and Public Order Committee, Manoil Manev, with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia, Nikola Nikolov. During the visit, a series of meetings were held with representatives of Armenian institutions, aimed at strengthening interparliamentary cooperation and deepening bilateral dialogue in areas of mutual interest, including education, science, culture, sports, security, and economics, as well as the prospects for elevating bilateral relations to a strategic level.

On 22 January 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Nikola Nikolov, held a protocol meeting with the Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Ms. Zhanna Andreasyan. During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of deepening bilateral cooperation in education, culture and sports, and confirmed their mutual readiness to implement specific joint initiatives.

On 20 January 2026, Nikola Nikolov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia, held a protocol meeting with Alen Simonyan, the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Armenia.

On January 16, 2026, Bulgarian Ambassador to Armenia Nikola Nikolov held a protocol meeting with Armenian Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan. They discussed opportunities for cooperation and the exchange of experiences and ideas for future joint initiatives in the field of justice. The meeting took place in a friendly and open atmosphere.
