The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria has the pleasure and honor to inform you that within the framework of the procedure for the recruitment of project proposals announced in the summer of 2023 for the provision of grant-in-aid for the implementation of projects in the field of cooperation with the Republic of Armenia in 2024, the embassy received over 35 forms from non-governmental organizations, educational institutions and medical facilities. Each of the applied projects was of high social value and fully met the standards and criteria announced by the embassy.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia H.E. Mr. Kalin Anastasov, together with the Rector of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia Mr. Gor Vardanyan and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University and the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Mr. Tigran Avinyan, participated in a commissioning ceremony of a 30 kW solar photovoltaic plant built on the roof of the 17th building of the Polytechnic University.

At the invitation of the Eurasia Partnership Foundation, on June 2, 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia H.E. Mr. Kalin Anastasov took part in the Annual Media Awards ceremony organized by the Foundation in partnership with the Embassy of Netherlands in Armenia.

The Embassy of Bulgaria in Armenia celebrated May 24, Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and the Slavonic literature. For the second year in a row, the event was held in the mission garden on June 1,the International Children's Day.

The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Republic of Armenia notes with great pleasure the fact that starting from the beginning of May, Wizz Air launches direct flights between Sofia and Yerevan.

On January 13, 2023 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia H.E. Mr. Kalin Anastasov met with the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Narek Mkrtchyan.
