On January 13, the birthday of the renowned Bulgarian poet Peyo Yavorov, Ambassador Nikola Nikolov visited the Peyo Yavorov School in Yerevan, which serves as a bridge between the Bulgarian and Armenian peoples. The school's high level of education, dedicated teachers, and talented students are proof of the strength of the cultural and spiritual connection between our two countries. We will continue to develop cooperation through new initiatives dedicated to Bulgarian traditions, holidays, and spiritual heritage.

Presentation of copies of letters of credence to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Vahan Kostanyan
On December 9, 2025, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia, Nikola Nikolov, presented copies of his letters of credence to Mr. Vahan Kostanyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
During the meeting, the state of the bilateral partnership between Bulgaria and Armenia was reviewed. Emphasis was placed on raising bilateral relations to a new level, with the parties declaring that this would be a natural continuation of the traditionally excellent relations between the two countries. Other topics of bilateral dialogue were also discussed, including cooperation in the fields of foreign policy, economy and trade; energy, science, innovation and technology development, as well as education and culture.
Deputy Minister Vahan Kostanyan expressed his satisfaction that Bulgaria once again has an ambassador to Armenia, which will contribute to the development and enhancement of bilateral dialogue in all areas of mutual interest.

On March 4, 2024, Bulgaria's Liberation from the Ottoman Empire was celebrated in the ceremonial hall of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia. More than 200 representatives from the government, the academic leadership of the university, diplomats accredited in Armenia, civil servants, politicians, public figures, the Bulgarian community and the media were present to express their honor and respect to the Bulgarian people on the occasion of the holiday. In his speech, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia, Kalin Anastasov, noted that on March 3, 146 years ago, with the signing of the San Stefano Peace Treaty, Bulgaria rose again and the dream of our revivalists began to come true, that all Bulgarians would live in a free and independent country. Ambassador Anastasov emphasized that the established Third Bulgarian State during these years has experienced both glorious moments and national tragedies, but despite this, the Bulgarian people have not forgotten the most important thing -their freedom and independence.
