Inauguration of a monument to Vasil Levski in Warsaw
On March 6, 2018, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Poland, Margarita Ganeva, and the Director General of the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency, Kiril Valchev, inaugurated a monument to Vasil Levski in the courtyard of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Warsaw - in front of the Consular Service.

Celebration of the National Day of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Republic of Poland
On March 5, 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Warsaw, together with the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Warsaw, organized a concert on the occasion of the National Day and the 148th anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria, which took place in the concert hall of the Frederic Chopin University of Music. About 150 guests were present, including: representatives of the Presidential Administration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Sejm and the Senate of Poland, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Agriculture, representatives of local authorities - mayors and regional governors, NGOs, academia - universities and the diplomatic corps in Warsaw. Among those present were: Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland – Mr. Artur Harazym, Ms. Bozena Zhelezovska, State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland, Col. Mariusz Soliwodski, Deputy Director of the National Security Bureau under the President of the Republic of Poland, Ms. Mariana Otmianowska, Director of the Łazienki Krulewske Museum in Warsaw, the Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Bulgaria in Krakow, Gdansk, Bialystok and Poznan.

Official opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Bulgaria in Poznan
On February 6, 2026, in the "Collegium Minus" hall of the Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań, the official opening of the new Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Bulgaria took place, with headquarters in the city of Poznań and consular district in the Greater Poland Voivodeship. Professor Rafal Dimczyk was appointed Honorary Consul - an established scholar, one of the leading professors related to Bulgarian studies at the University of Poznań, owner of the tourist company "Balkan Travel", which cooperates with the largest Polish tour operators in organizing visits to Bulgaria.

Meeting with the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Bulgaria in the Polish Parliament
On January 27, 2019, at the Embassy in Warsaw, at the invitation of Ambassador Margarita Ganeva to the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Bulgaria in the Polish Parliament, a meeting was held, which was attended by the Senators: Robert Mamontov - Chairman of the Friendship Group with Bulgaria, Jarosław Rusiecki and Ryszard Mayer, the three from the PiS party, and the Sejm deputy Bożena Żelazowska from the Civic Platform coalition, who also holds the position of State Secretary in the Polish Ministry of Culture. Mr. Jan Stravinsky, Honorary Consul of Bulgaria in Gdansk, who is also Chairman of the Association of Honorary Consuls in Poland, was also invited and attended the meeting.

Briefing of the Representation of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Poland at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Warsaw
On 17.11.2025, a briefing was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Warsaw, organized jointly with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Poland. The meeting was chaired by the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Poland, Ms. Margarita Ganeva. Welcoming the participants in the meeting (22 representatives from the Embassies in Warsaw), Ambassador Ganeva emphasized several important facts and policies related to the activities of our country in the UN, such as: in 2025, Bulgaria celebrates the 70th anniversary of its membership in the United Nations (UN) - a key moment in the country's establishment on the international stage; Bulgaria in the UN is the voice of small and medium-sized countries in world politics - Bulgaria's membership in the UN Human Rights Council for the period 2024-2026; the election of our country to the Executive Board of UNICEF (2023-2025) and to the Executive Board of UN Women (2023-2025).

Georg Georgiev Participates in the Informal Meeting of EU Foreign Ministers in the "Gymnich" Format in Warsaw
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georg Georgiev, took part in the informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in the "Gymnich" format. The meeting, organised by the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, was held in Warsaw and opened with an informal discussion with the Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, David Lammy. Together with their British counterpart, the ministers discussed a broad range of topics, including security and defence, Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, and Sudan.

The 5th Congress of Local Governments of the Three Seas Initiative (TSI) was held in Lublin, Poland, on March 12-13, 2019. The Forum was opened by the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, under whose patronage the event is held annually. The Congress strengthens ties between regions along the North-South axis along the eastern border of the European Union.
