H.E. Margarita Ganeva – Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Poland and Nikolay Kostov – Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Warsaw, Head of the National Tourism Representation held a working meeting with Mr. Ireneusz Raś – State Secretary for Tourism, Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Poland, which was attended by: Dominik Borek – Director of the Tourism Department, Karol Biedzyski – Counselor and Edita Sapon – Assistant in the Office of the State Secretary.

Ambassador Ganeva and State Secretary Raś discussed the priorities of bilateral relations in the tourism sector and the upcoming joint actions in 2026, participation in forums organized by both countries, the exchange of mutual experience and support. The Bulgarian Ambassador highlighted as one of the main priorities in bilateral cooperation the need to increase transport connectivity between the two countries. This will contribute to the development of tourism year-round in both directions. In support of this, the achievements over the past four years were indicated, incl. the opening of regular low-cost airline routes between Wroclaw and Sofia, Krakow and Sofia, and at the end of 2025 – between Warsaw and Sofia. The establishment of permanent air routes between Burgas and Gdansk, as well as between Plovdiv and the partner city of Poznan, were indicated as further goals. A proposal was made to the Secretary of State to take part in holding the annual PTK congress in Bulgaria in September 2026, and to organize a bilateral business forum in tourism during the visit.
