The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in the process of implementing a large-scale project, coordinated in advance with all responsible institutions in Bulgaria and the EU, including the implementation and launch of a new version of the National Visa Information System (NVIS).

On the occasion of the 148th anniversary of Botev’s Day and the Day of the Fallen for the Freedom and Independence of Bulgaria, on June 2nd, the staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Beijing, as well as representatives of the Bulgarian community in Beijing and Chinese citizens gathered in front of the monument of Hristo Botev in Chaoyang Park to pay tribute to the fallen hero.

On May 29th, upon the official invitation from the president of the university, Mrs. Li Yingying, Ambassador Andrey Tehov paid a visit to Tianjin Foreign Studies University.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the broadcasting of radio programmes in Bulgarian, on April 17, 2024 the Bulgarian Ambassador to China, Mr. Andrey Tehov, visited the Chinese Media Group.

The 5th China-CEEC (Cangzhou) SME Cooperation Forum, attended by Mr. Ivaylo Iordanov, Chargé d’Affairs a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Beijing, was held in Cangzhou, Hebei province, from 12 to 14 November 2023. The event was hosted by Mr. Wang Zhengpu, Governor of Hebei Provincial Government, with guests of honor Mr. Deng Li, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mrs. Xu Xiaolan, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology. Georgia was present as an observer at the Forum for the first time.

Between 09 and 11 of April 2023, Mr. Ivaylo Iordanov, Chargé d’Affairs a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Beijing, took part in the "1st Sanya International Rose Cultural Festival". The festival was accompanied by a lot of rose-themed products, Bulgarian cultural exhibition of rose series and intangible national cultural heritage work.
