On May 29th, upon the official invitation from the president of the university, Mrs. Li Yingying, Ambassador Andrey Tehov paid a visit to Tianjin Foreign Studies University.

During the official meeting organized by the university, attended also by high-ranking representatives of the Tianjin municipal authorities, Ambassador Tehov delivered a speech in which he briefly outlined the progress of the bilateral relations between China and Bulgaria in various fields, including education and culture.

Diplomatic representatives of 4 other European countries also attended the meeting.

In the ensuing discussion with the university management, both sides expressed their desire to strengthen the cooperation between Bulgarian and Chinese universities.

Ambassador Tehov also met and conversed with the teachers and students of the Bulgarian Language Department of the University. He expressed his high appreciation and congratulated the teachers on their successes in teaching students the Bulgarian language.

Subsequently, Ambassador Tehov visited the university's museum, which is one of the earliest natural history museums in China, famous for its rich collection of ancient mammal fossils.
