This year marks the 146th Anniversary from the Death of the Bulgarian revolutionary poet Hristo Botev. On the occasion of the Day for Commemorating Hristo Botev and the Bulgarian National Liberation Heroes – June 2nd –  the Charge d’Affairs a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Ivaylo Iordanov and the  Millitary Attache of national defense, land army, navy and air force - Colonel Evgeni Genchev, conducted a flower-presenting ceremony at the Hristo Botev sculpture in Beijing (at Jintai Art Gallery in Chaoyang Park).

The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Beijing welcomed in a new outer-look May 24th, the Day of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and of Slavic literature, by inventing a new modern design of the information boards, embodying the Bulgarian spirit. The interactive panels, made by Petya Ilieva from KITNA Bulgaria, contain a QR code leading to the websites of the embassy and the official Bulgarian tourist portal.

On June 30, 2021 the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria organized a Bulgarian Culture and Movie Night for diplomats in Beijing. The diplomatic community had the opportunity to watch the contemporary Bulgarian film "Bubblegum".

On June 26, 2021 Bulgaria was introduced as an attractive destination for quality higher education at the "Jinan International Sister Cities Education Expo", organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of Jinan City – the twin-sister city of the Bulgarian town Kazanlak.

Due to the recent new strains of the COVID-19 virus around the globe and in line with the continuous efforts of the Bulgarian government to curb the spread of the virus in the country, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Bulgaria has issued a new ministerial administrative order defining the entry regime and the categories of citizens allowed to to enter Bulgaria.

The Bulgarian side actively participated in the Public and Cultural Diplomacy Project of the EU Delegation to China – EUPOP, namely in the part „European Virtual Museum“. The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in China facilitated the promotion of virtual tours of three Bulgarian museums.

June 2 is the Day of the Bulgarian National Liberation Heroes. This day commemorates the Bulgarian liberation poet Hristo Botev and the other heroic Bulgarians who died for the liberation.
