Ambassador Martin Ivanov met with the Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Matti Vanhanen

As from 1 March 2020, road vehicles with a total technically permissible maximum weight exceeding 3,5 tonnes circulating on paid road sections in Bulgaria will have to pay for their use distance-based road charges – toll. The toll replaces the electronic vignette for heavy vehicles and buses.

А Friendship Group with Bulgaria was established in the Estonian Parliament

Тhe traditional MATKA tourist fair was held in Helsinki between 17th and 20th of January. The fair is the largest of its kind in the Scandinavian and Baltic region with over 1000 participants from nearly 90 countries.

On January 14, 20120, Ambassador Martin Ivanov took part at the annual meeting of the local branch of the Finnish-Bulgarian Friendship Society in Turku.

On December 17, 2019, at 6.00 pm, upon invitation of the Bulgarian Embassy in Finland, the Finnish Ensemble for Bulgarian folklore, Kukuvitsa Choir, led by Ms. Emmi Kujanpaa, comprising 12 talented female musicians, performed a musical programme at the Embassy of Bulgaria in Helsinki, including Bulgarian and Finnish traditional folk songs

On November 25th, 2019 Bulgarian Embassy in Helsinki organized another of the series of Ambassadors’ seminar on the history of Finland.

On November 15, 2019 the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria organized an exhibition of the Bulgarian artist Olga Shehanova-Shishkova.
