On January 29, 2020, a Friendship Group with Bulgaria was established in Estonian Parliament.

The group will be chaired by Ms Odeki Luune, a member of the Centrist Party of Prime Minister Ratas.

Eight parliamentarians from the Center Party, the SDP and the Estonian Conservative Party (EKRE) are members of the Friendship Group. At the event, which was attended by Ambassador Martin Ivanov, the possibilities for increasing trade between the two countries were discussed as well as a possible visit to Bulgaria this or next year.
