On March 4, 2020 a reception was held in the building of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Bulgaria in Tallinn in honor of March 3, the National Day of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The event was attended by MPs from the Estonian-Bulgarian Friendship Group in Riigikogu (the Parliament of Estonia), diplomats, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, the media, the Bulgarian community and friends of Bulgaria.

In his brief welcome speech, Ambassador Martin Ivanov outlined the Bulgarian-Estonian relations that have intensified in recent years and thanked the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Republic of Estonia, Indrek Laul, for his active work after taking office a little over a year ago.
