At the invitation of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), on 9 February 2023 Ambassador Irena Gancheva visited FPCCI Islamabad Office where she had a meeting with FPCCI President Mr. Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Vice President Mr. Umar Masood ur Rehman and members of the Federation.

Ambassador Irena Gancheva visited two of the major industrial centers of Pakistan – Faisalabad and Sialkot

On 22 November 2022 the Ambassador of Bulgaria in Islamabad Irena Gancheva met the newly appointed Director General of the Foreign Service Academy of Pakistan Ambassador Mazhar Javed. Both sides highly appreciated the first joint webinar „Pakistan and Bulgaria – Bilateral Cooperation in Security, Economy and Energy”, organized on 10 November 2022 by the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute and the Foreign Service Academy of Pakistan.

On 29 October 2022 the Embassy of Bulgaria took part in the Euro Village Festival at PNCA Islamabad. The event was jointly organized by the Delegation of the European Union and the diplomatic missions of the EU Member States to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the European Union and Pakistan.

The Bulgarian Ambassador in Islamabad Irena Gancheva met on 20 July 2022 with the Federal Minister of Education and Professional Training of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Rana Tanveer Hussain.

On 27 June 2022 the Bulgarian Embassy in Islamabad organized a meeting with the Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan – Mr. Aslam Khaliq with residence in the city of Karachi and consular jurisdiction over the territory of the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan, Mr. Saad Ali Khan with residence in the city of Lahore and consular jurisdiction over the territory of the province of Punjab and Mr. Faisal Saleem Rahman with residence in the city of Peshawar and consular jurisdiction over the territory of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The first ever project of the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) Cluster in Pakistan - „Heritage Live - Music of Pakistan“ was successfully implemented in the period 22 - 29 May 2022. The project provided an opportunity to artists from eight EU Member states, including Bulgaria to co-create and produce music with indigenous musicians from Pakistan. The aim was to promote people-to-people contacts and inter-cultural dialogue, preserve Pakistan’s rich musical heritage and support talented artists from different areas of the country. Women and Afghan refugees were also among the participants.

On the occasion of 24 May – Day of the Holy Brothers St. Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian education and culture, and of the Slavic literature, the Embassy of Bulgaria in Islamabad hosted a musical event with the participation of the popular Bulgarian kaval player Zhivko Vasilev. The event was attended by Pakistan Foreign Office officials, including Additional Secretary Europe Dr. Israr Hussain and Director General Foreign Service Academy Ambassador Zahid Nasrullah Khan, foreign Ambassadors and other members of the Diplomatic Corps in Islamabad, as well as Pakistani representatives of the culture and academic circles.
