On 16 May 2023 Ambassador Irena Gancheva met with Ms. Fareena Mazhar, Secretary, National Heritage and Culture Division of the Federal Government of Pakistan.

During the meeting both sides underlined the importance of culture in diplomacy and the significant role that cultural collaboration plays in increasing the mutual understanding and building sustainable international cooperation.

Ambassador Gancheva and Ms. Mazhar discussed modalities for expansion of the bilateral cultural ties, including specific events to showcase the rich cultural and historical heritage of Bulgaria and Pakistan.
