A team of Bulgarian children has started its participation in the global round of 2019 World Scholar’s Cup, held in The Hague, The Netherlands in the period 21st – 26th of July 2019. In competition with several hundred students from 50 countries all over the world, the Bulgarian team will take part in various initiatives in the field of history, technologies, literature, debate competitions, social sciences and different arts.
Founded in 2007, the World Scholar’s Cup is a global charitable enrichment initiative for students of all backgrounds from public and private schools all over the world. The mission of the initiative is to inspire in every student a love of learning, a confidence in new skills, and a sense of global belongings. In the 2019 round of the World Scholar’s Cup Bulgaria will be represented by students from different age groups from the following schools: American College of Sofia, American English Academy, Anglo-American School of Sofia, British School of Sofia, High School of Digital Science – SoftUni Svetlina, Private School Svetlina, St. George International School.
Mrs. Rumyana Kamberska, chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of Bulgaria in The Hague, took part in the opening ceremony of the 2019 World Scholar’s Cup together with other representatives from the diplomatic community in The Netherlands, and wished lots of success to the Bulgarian team.
