On 7 November 2024, an evening dedicated to Ivan Stancioff was held at the Embassy, ​​during which the book “I am a Bulgarian and I walk together with my people” was presented. The book is compiled by Mrs Snejina Metcheva with the assistance of the Bulgarian School “Ivan Stanchov” at the Embassy and the support of the Ministry of Education and Science Programme “The Untold Stories of the Bulgarians”.

Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev addressed the audience with a greeting.

The Minister of Tourism, Mr Evtim Miloshev, was among the guests and he shared memories of his contacts with Ivan Stancioff. Relatives and friends of Ivan Stancioff from different parts of the world, including his son Mr Nicholas Stancioff took part.

Minister Miloshev presented an icon of St. John of Rila as a gift for the newly built church in the courtyard of the Embassy, which bears the Saint’s name.
