The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in the process of implementing a large-scale project, coordinated in advance with all responsible institutions in Bulgaria and the EU, including the implementation and launch of a new version of the National Visa Information System (NVIS).

As from 1 March 2020, road vehicles with a total technically permissible maximum weight exceeding 3,5 tonnes circulating on paid road sections in Bulgaria will have to pay for their use distance-based road charges – toll. The toll replaces the electronic vignette for heavy vehicles and buses.

Mr. Ivaylo Iordonav, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the DPRK and Mr. Praveen Agrawal, Representative and Country Director of the World Food Programme in the DPRK visited the Yangji Nursery in Pyongsong City, South Pyongan Province оn 25 November 2019.

On 29 November 2018, in the “Pyongyang Exhibition House of Culture” the Photo Exhibition “Fragrances from Bulgaria” was unveiled, followed by a cocktail, to mark the occasion of the 70th Anniversary since the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

On 9 May, in the context of the local Bulgarian presidency of the European Union in the DPRK, a reception was given for the Day of Europe with the participation of the entire international community in Pyongyang.

Two cultural events with Bulgarian participation took place during the period of 05.04.2018 – 17.04.2018.

On 6 march 2018 a reception was hosted in the Pothonggang Hotel on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria.
