The President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev visited Lebanon on April 9-10, 2019. The main objectives of the visit were to intensify the political dialogue, create a favorable environment for more active trade and investment between the two countries, voicing Bulgaria's positions on important international issues, such as the fight against international terrorism, the Middle East peace process, the need to find a solution to the problem of Syrian refugees, etc.

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Lebanon Boyan Belev presented his credentials to the President of the Lebanese Republic Michel Aoun on March 5. During the talks that followed the ceremony the two discussed the state of bilateral relations.
