On April 4, 2023, the ambassador of Bulgaria Boyan Belev, the Chairman of the NGO "National Jubran Committee" Joseph Fenianos and the Executive Director of the Khalil Jubran Museum Joseph Geagea gave an interview for the State TV Station Télé Liban on the bilateral Bulgarian-Lebanese cooperation with a focus on the sphere of culture.

Two agreements for grant financing under the Bulgarian Development Aid Program were signed

On December 02, 2022, the MP Sharbel Maroun from the "Free Patriotic Movement" from the West Bekaa and Rashaya region, accompanied by Mr. Joseph Haddad, paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Lebanon. He met with the ambassador Boyan Belev, the head of the Political Section Ivaylo Hristov and the head of the Commercial Section Plamen Vasilev. In a friendly atmosphere the conversation during the meeting they touched upon different issues concerning the current situation in Bulgaria and Lebanon, common areas of interest for stronger future cooperation. Mr. Maroun was briefed about the program for Bulgarian Developmet Aid and the project funded through this program in Lebanon. With regard to politics, the discussion included the need for Lebanon to work for the election of a new president, to form a government, to implement IMF-sponsored reforms and to stabilize the national economy.

On November 12, 2022, an official ceremony marking the successful completion of the "Khalil Jubran Legacy for Cultural Sustainability" project, financed with Bulgarian development aid, took place in Bsharre under the patronage of the Minister of Culture Muhammad Wissam Al-Murtada.

On October 26, 2022 Ambassador Boyan Belev met with Ziad Al-Makari - Caretaker Minister of Information of Lebanon. The reason for the visit was the proposal of Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) to establish permanent relations with Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) and provided details on this proposal. Minister Makari expressed his appreciation of this idea and readiness to work for its implementation.

On July 7, 2022, led by the head of the European Union Delegation (EUDEL) in Lebanon, Ambassador Ralph Tarraf, a group of ambassadors and diplomatic officials from 14 EU member states visited the headquarters of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in Nakura.
