On August 4, 2023, the Heads of diplomatic missions in Beirut marked in a solemn ceremony the third anniversary of the port explosion of the Lebanese capital, in which more than two hundred and twenty people died and more than 7,000 were injured. A memorial complex was built in memory of the victims with a plaque inscribed with the names of the victims. The representatives of the diplomatic corps observed a moment of silence at precisely 8 o'clock. Ms. Alexandrina Guigova, Chargé d’Affairs a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Lebanon, represented the Bulgarian side.
