The Bulgarian Charge d’Affairs a.i. and Millitary Attache Conducted a Flower-presenting Ceremony on the Day for Commemorating Hristo Botev and the Bulgarian National Liberation Heroes – June 2

This year marks the 146th Anniversary from the Death of the Bulgarian revolutionary poet Hristo Botev. On the occasion of the Day for Commemorating Hristo Botev and the Bulgarian National Liberation Heroes – June 2nd –  the Charge d’Affairs a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Ivaylo Iordanov and the  Millitary Attache of national defense, land army, navy and air force - Colonel Evgeni Genchev, conducted a flower-presenting ceremony at the Hristo Botev sculpture in Beijing (at Jintai Art Gallery in Chaoyang Park).

During the ceremony flowers were presented in front of the Hristo Botev sculpture by Master Yuan Xikun, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a well-renown artist and the director of the Jintai Art Museum, and the author of the sculpture. He expressed his admiration of the heroic deeds of the Bulgarian poet. 

The Embassy officials and their family members also commemorated with flowers the revolutionary poet Hristo Botev and the other heroic Bulgarians who died for the national liberation. A Bulgarian girl made a recital of Hristo Botev’s poem “Obesvaneto na Vasil Levski” (“The Hanging of the National Hero Vasil Levski”).
