Exceptional European Musicians Perform "A Night of Schubert and Brahms"- A Concert under the Patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Brussels

On January 31, a concert titled "A Night of Schubert and Brahms" took place in Brussels, organized under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Brussels. The concert was also supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Brussels. The event attracted a full hall and garnered significant interest from classical music enthusiasts.
Six exceptional musicians, members of leading European orchestras including the National philharmonic Orchestra of Belgium and the National philharmonic Orchestra of Spain, took the stage. Among them were Bulgarian violinist Jacqueline Preys and Japanese Misako Akama, violists Marc Sabah and Paola Garcia Morales, as well as cellists Lucia Otero and Dmitry Silvian. They presented a unique interpretation of two remarkable works – Schubert's String Quintet in C Major and Brahms's String Sextet No. 2, Op. 36 in G Major.
Jacqueline Preiss is born in Plovdiv Bulgaria and has completed her bachelor's degree at the New Bulgarian University under Professor Mario Hossen, and continued her education in Vienna with Professor Michael Frishenplager. She is a Third Prize winner of the Stefani Hall competition in Vienna and has received numerous national awards in Bulgaria. She has participated in international festivals in Canada, Japan, and France. Since 2020, Jacqueline Preys has been a member of the National philharmonic Orchestra of Belgium.
In an interview with Bulgarian National Radio (BNR), the Acting Head of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Brussels, Mrs. Veneta Zayakova, stated that the Embassy traditionally supports young Bulgarian talents and their participation in cultural events that contribute to strengthening the cultural ties between Bulgaria and Belgium.
The concert was a true celebration of music for the numerous audience members, who could not hide their admiration for the musicians' talent. The atmosphere throughout the performance was filled with emotion and dynamism, and at the end of the event, the audience rose to their feet, giving well-deserved respect to the performers. The exceptional energy of the music and the virtuoso performances of the talented musicians left an unforgettable impression on all those present.
