On May 23, 2025, on the eve of the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture, and of Slav Literature, selebrated every year on 24th of May, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Kingdom of Belgium hosted a poetic evening featuring Maria Doneva – one of the most beloved and prominent contemporary Bulgarian poets, known for her subtle lyricism, warmth, and heartfelt connection with her audience.

Participation of the Bulgarian Embassy in Brussels in the celebration of Europe Day in Luxembourg

On May 10, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Brussels once again took an active part in the celebration of Europe Day in Luxembourg. The event was organized by the European Commission Representation in Luxembourg, in cooperation with the Municipality of Echternach, the Classical Lyceum of Echternach, the Government of Luxembourg, and the European Parliament. Set in the courtyard of the Abbey of Echternach, the “European Village” featured informational stands representing all EU Member States, alongside various European institutions and civil society organizations. More than 5,000 visitors enjoyed a vibrant program of cultural and musical performances, food tastings, and culinary delights that showcased Europe’s rich cultural and gastronomic diversity.

On January 31, a concert titled "A Night of Schubert and Brahms" took place in Brussels, organized under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Brussels. Main information — satellite-based tolling system in Bulgaria

As from 1 March 2020, road vehicles with a total technically permissible maximum weight exceeding 3,5 tonnes circulating on paid road sections in Bulgaria will have to pay for their use distance-based road charges – toll. The toll replaces the electronic vignette for heavy vehicles and buses.
