On the occasion of one of the most beloved holidays of people of all ages - Baba Marta, on March 1, 2024, a festive concert took part of the first Bulgarian female ensemble in New York "Yasna Voices", founded in 2002 and led by Vlada Tomova.
The choristers, most of whom are American, performed famous Bulgarian folk songs, which caused a lot of applause. All the guests at the event cheered enthusiastically, and the hall of the Consulate General was overflowing.
The Consul General Angel Angelov introduced the guests to the Bulgarian tradition associated with Baba Marta and invited them to the subsequent celebrations of the Bulgarian community in New York.
The ladies of "Yasna Voices" had prepared martenichki for the guests, and the evening ended with a festive cocktail.
