On March 3, 2024, on the occasion of Bulgaria's national holiday, a solemn concert organized by the "Gergana" choir and school took place in New York.

Among those present were parents, teachers, guests, and friends of the school. The holiday was fulfilled with great excitement and pathos, poems and songs dedicated to the memorable dates and events marking the Liberation of Bulgaria were also performed. The students recreated scenes from the poem "Hadzhi Dimitar", danced and sang, combining joy with knowledge!

The Bulgarian consul in New York, Daniela Sirakova, congratulated everyone on the Holiday and paid special attention to its importance for the restoration of Bulgarian statehood. She spoke about freedom as a value and noted that today - 146 years later, we should all remember that the sacrifice of generations of Bulgarians was for our sake, for our free and dignified present. She expressed great appreciation to the teachers who dedicate themselves to young people abroad, revealing to them the beauty of the Motherland, the Bulgarian language, culture, traditions and customs.

The celebration ended with the traditional Bulgarian dance and once again the festivity of March 3^rd turned into an exciting and unforgettable memorial!
