Compatriots celebrated Bulgaria's national holiday, March 3rd, with a concert at the Bulgarian School in New York "Hristo Botev".

Graduates from the school presented poems by Hristo Botev and Ivan Vazov, there were also cello performances by Kalin Ivanov and piano - by Nikol Gancheva. Folk group "Algara" - New Jersey, and a group of the high school dance team performed Bulgarian folk dances, bagpipes and drums also sounded.

The guests loudly applauded the participants, and at the end of the concert, the traditional Bulgarian “horo” was also performed.

Friends of "Hristo Botev" school from neighboring states shared the celebration, and the administration of the sunday school expressed their gratitude to the Consul General in New York, Angel Angelov.

For his part, he welcomed the participants and thanked especially to those who participated in the celebration of raising the Bulgarian flag at the Bull on Wall Street the day before.
