Bulgarian delegation, led by Angelina Toteva, Deputy Chairperson of the State Agency for Road Safety, took part in the Third Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety 2020, opened on February 19th in Stockholm by H.M. Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.
World leaders and leading experts in road safety came together on 19-20 February in Sweden to take stock of the global traffic safety work and adopt the Stockholm Declaration, which provides guidance for continuing global road safety efforts by 2030. The conference is attended by 1 700 delegates from 140 countries, including 80 delegations led by ministers.
The Stockholm declaration calls upon world leaders for further strengthen their political will aimed at accelerating the actions and measures towards halving global road traffic deaths and injuries by 2030 and achieving safe and sustainable mobility.
