On 06 February 2024, a team of the Bulgarian Embassy in Beirut met with representatives of the Christian Maronite School “Ste Famille”, located in the world famous for its spectacular historical and cultural heritage Valey of Bekaa.  

The meeting was part of an onsite-inspection on the readiness and capacity of the beneficiary “Center for development, democracy and government” to implement a project financed by the Bulgarian Development Aid Operational Programme.

The project aims to significantly improve the basic studying conditions in the Ste Famille School.  On the long term, the school will be part of a regional center for educational, cultural and other socially significant activities for the Christian community, thus contributing for the overall sustainable socio-economic development of the 16 Christian villages in the region of the Valey of Bekaa, as well as for Lebanon as a whole.
