Presentation of a student project under the programme “The Untold Stories of Bulgarians” at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Brussels

On March 30, 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Brussels hosted the presentation of a project from the Ministry of Education and Science’s National Program, “The Untold Stories of Bulgarians.” The event was part of a joint project involving the Bulgarian Sunday School “Ran Bosilek” in Brussels, the Bulgarian Sunday School “Danube” in Linz, Salzburg, and Wels (Austria), and the “M. V. Lomonosov” Technical School in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The project “Untold Stories of Bulgarians” aims to combat hate speech and promote universal values and virtues through the study of historical events. Through various educational, research, and creative activities, this project aims to raise awareness on topics such as tolerance, cooperation, and respect among different cultures. During the event, three short films produced by students from the M. V. Lomonosov Technical School were screened, dedicated to the life and work of Todor Angelov – Bozhanata and Svoboda Bachvarova. Students from the three schools also gave presentations on the topics of tolerance and combating hate speech.
Ambassador Natalia Uzunova welcomed the guests, noting the importance of such initiatives and the relevance of this specific topic in the context of the contemporary global challenges. During the event, she exchanged with students and teachers on topics related to historical memory, values, and the role of education.
