Participation of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Azerbaijan in the cultural event “Eurovillage” in Ganja, organized by the EU Delegation

On June 5-6, 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in the cultural event “Eurovillage” in Ganja, organized by the EU Delegation in partnership with the Embassies of the EU member states in Baku.

On the first day of the visit to Ganja, the EU Delegation organized a student contest at the “Vego” hotel, during which questions about the history and culture of the EU member states were asked, and the participants were awarded with gifts by the EU Delegation.

The next day, an official meeting was held between the EU ambassadors in Azerbaijan and the Mayor of Ganja city - Mr. Niyazi Bayramov. After the meeting at the Ganja City Hall, all the ambassadors visited “Heydar Aliyev” Park, where they planted trees.

On the second day of the visit, the cultural event “Eurovillage” was organized in the square in front of the Ganja City Hall, where the Bulgarian embassy had its own stand. Various types of brochures with information about the tourist opportunities in our country, as well as various types of souvenirs provided by the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria were presented at the Bulgarian stand. There was great interest in the history, culture, and tourist opportunities of Bulgaria.

The embassy participated in the quiz organized by the EU Delegation with pre-prepared questions about Bulgaria. Gifts were given to the winners.

In the end they of the day, residents of Ganja had the opportunity to enjoy an evening concert.

The cultural event “Eurovillage” gave the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan the opportunity to learn more about Europe, its values, history, rich culture, sports, as well as the opportunities to pursue higher education in the EU.
