Reception on the celebration of the National Day of the Republic of Bulgaria, March 3

On March 3, 2026, the Bulgarian Embassy in Armenia organized an official reception on the National Day of the Republic of Bulgaria – March 3. The celebration was attended by the First Deputy Minister of High Technology Industry Gevorg Mantashyan, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Presidential Administration, heads of diplomatic missions, diplomats, Bulgarian representatives in the EU Mission in Armenia, representatives of business, leading media and news agencies, the academic community, students and teachers from 131 OU "P. Yavorov," non-governmental organizations, and many friends of Bulgaria, including the President of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee, Vesela Lecheva, with the Bulgarian shooting team.
All guests were presented with Bulgarian martenitsas, some of which were made with great care and love by students from Peyo Yavorov School.
Guests at the event had the opportunity to receive presentation brochures about tourism opportunities in our country and presenting the culture and sights of Bulgaria.
The exhibition "Treasures of Bulgaria," organized with the assistance of the State Cultural Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institute of Balkan Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, attracted great interest. Attendees viewed 26 panels displaying unique artifacts from Thracian treasures discovered in Bulgaria.
After the national anthems of Bulgaria and Armenia were played, Nikola Nikolov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia, and Gevorg Mantashyan, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, welcomed the guests. In his speech, Ambassador Nikolov noted the historical significance of March 3 for a free and independent Bulgaria. He emphasized the high level of bilateral relations with Armenia and the prospects for their development. Deputy Minister Mantashyan greeted those present on behalf of the Armenian government and expressed his satisfaction with the development of cooperation in various fields. He pointed out the historical ties between the Armenian and Bulgarian peoples.
Students from the Peyo Yavorov School performed a short artistic program, thrilling the guests at the reception with their performance of the song "My Country, My Bulgaria" and a Bulgarian folk dance.
Earlier in the day, Ambassador Nikolov was received by Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturian, who offered congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of Bulgaria's National Day. A congratulatory message was also sent by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, emphasizing the importance for Armenia of the further development of bilateral relations based on mutual trust and shared values.
