On January 17, at the Consulate General of Bulgaria in New York, Consul General Angel Angelov held a meeting with participants in the "Columbia Model United Nations and Exposition", who represent a Boston area high school in the prestigious international competition, as well as with their teachers and representatives of Columbia University.

The guests were introduced to the work of Bulgarian diplomacy in various areas, including in the field of public diplomacy, and the requirements for a career in diplomacy in general. The presentation of the Bulgarian diplomat was followed by a lively discussion.

"Columbia Model United Nations and Exposition" is among the largest simulations of the work of the UN in the United States and this year is being held at Columbia University between January 16 and 19. The event provides an opportunity for participants to learn more about the world of diplomacy and to debate current international issues.
