An event on development of the Bulgarian startup ecosystem and entrepreneurial spirit, took place at the Consulate General in New York. It was organized by representatives of The Bridge and LAUNCHub Ventures and brought together dozens of representatives of the Bulgarian community in New York and the surrounding area. The participants were interested in learning more about entrepreneurial activities and investment opportunities in Bulgaria. Nikola Likov and Alexandra Todorova, representing the organizers, made intriguing presentations to address the interests of the Bulgarian community in New York. Both are young and very successful Bulgarians who work towards identifying and supporting promising Bulgarian start-ups.

The guests were informed about the initiative of the non-governmental organization The Bridge, whose mission is to connect successful Bulgarian innovators from around the world and to bring them to the Bulgarian Black sea city of Varna for an annual meeting. The initiative is based on the principle of doing business ethically, incl. paying taxes and supporting social causes. This year's event is scheduled for June 6-8.

Consul General Angelov Angelov welcomed the guests, reviewed the latest events in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation held at the Consulate, and encouraged the guests, living on both sides of the Ocean, to network and contribute to the realization of the huge potential of Bulgaria in innovations.
