Meetings of the Bulgarian Consul General in New York with the Bulgarian community in Boston on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Bulgarian school "St. St. Cyril and Methodius"

On May 10 and 11, 2024, the Consul General of Bulgaria in New York, Angel Angelov, took part in a series of meetings and events with the Bulgarian community in and around Boston, related to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Bulgarian Sunday school "St. St. Cyril and Methodius". The ambassador of Bulgaria in Washington Georgi Panayotov and the executive director of the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad Raina Mandjukova were also invited as official guests to the events.

The main events in which the Consul General took part were a meeting with Bulgarian representatives in business and academia, a meeting with the management of the school in Boston and its teachers, a celebration on the occasion of the anniversary and a gala dinner with representatives of the Bulgarian community. The Consul General also held talks with the leadership and representatives of the Bulgarian organizations in Boston, as well as with the Honorary Consul of Bulgaria in Boston, Adam Portnoy.

The visit of the Consul General in Boston was carried out at the invitation of the management of the Bulgarian school in the city and is part of the efforts to promote Bulgarian schools in the American Northeast.
