On the day of the birth of Christ, the Holy Liturgy was performed in the Bulgarian Orthodox Church "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" in New York by His Eminence Joseph, Metropolitan of the USA, Canada and Australia.
The celebratory liturgy was attended by the Consul General Angel Angelov, who welcomed the laity with an inspired speech for the Nativity of Christ and reminded of the role of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church in preserving the Bulgarian national identity, spirit and statehood, as well as its important role in saving the Bulgarian Jews 80 years ago.
The spiritual festivity ended with a celebration, and after the end of the liturgy, the traditional Christmas gala took place at the church.
