Christmas celebration of the Bulgarian community from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware

On December 9, 2023, the traditional Christmas celebration of the Bulgarian community from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, organized by the Bulgarian Cultural Center for PA, NJ and DE, was held in the Philadelphia area.
The Consul General in New York Angel Angelov was the special guest of the event, who made a warm welcome to the community, pointing out that the real Bulgarian Christmas is the one shared with compatriots. The celebration gathered over 200 Bulgarians who enjoyed the sounds of the Bulgarian music and dances. The fest was attended by the folk group "Balkan Soul" with choreographer Desi Yordanoff and «101 Kaba Gaidi» - graduates of the Smolyan bagpipe school, living in America. Under the sound of the Rhodope kaba bagpipe, our compatriots enjoyed various dishes from our traditional cuisine, which was prepared by "Ma Mma Mila" and «Mimi Bakery».
During the celebration the audience had the opportunity to buy from the scented candles "Sand Hill Candles & Melts" and the books of contemporary Bulgarian authors, provided by the project "For the Letters" by Angel Kolev, who personally took part in the festive day.
The Christmas spirit continued with a raffle and surprises in which everyone took part.
