The "Fashioning Power, Fashioning Peace" exhibition, highlighting the global cultural diversity through the influence of fashion and diplomacy, is making its debut in the American capital. In the Woodrow Wilson House in Washington DC, there's a particular spot dedicated to showcasing 50 one-of-a-kind outfits from more than 30 countries across the globe, Bulgaria included. The event is a testament to Washington's unique position as an intersection of world diplomacy.

Ambassador Georgi Panayotov presented his credentials as Permanent Observer of Bulgaria to the Organization of American States (OAS) to the OAS Secretary General Luis Almagro.

On June 7, 2022, the President of the United States Joe Biden accepted the Letter of Credence for Georgi Panayotov as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United States. In his letter, President Biden welcomes the appointment and shares his desire to advance the common agenda and to deepen the strong and abiding friendship between the two countries.

As from 1 March 2020, road vehicles with a total technically permissible maximum weight exceeding 3,5 tonnes circulating on paid road sections in Bulgaria will have to pay for their use distance-based road charges – toll. The toll replaces the electronic vignette for heavy vehicles and buses.
