Ambassador Georgi Panayotov was honored to be a guest speaker at the Foreign Service Institute - FSI, the U.S. government’s primary training institution for Foreign Service officers. He was invited to share insights on Bulgaria-U.S. relations and Bulgaria’s role in regional and transatlantic security.

During the remote session, Ambassador Panayotov provided an in-depth perspective on the state of bilateral relations, key regional developments, and Bulgaria’s strategic contributions to NATO and European security. The discussion as part of the Eastern European course was highly engaging, with U.S. diplomats-in-training asking many questions and showing strong interest in Bulgaria’s outlook on current global challenges.
