Public Lecture about the Cyrillic Alphabet at UCL

A public lecture on the history of the Cyrillic alphabet was held at the UCL Institute of Archeology on May 29th. The event was organized by the Bulgarian lecturer at UCL, Dr. Yordanka Velkova, on the occasion of May 24th – The Day of Bulgarian Writing, Education, and Culture.

Dr. Dimitar Peev, Bulgarian lecturer at the Humboldt University in Berlin spoke about the works of Sts. Cyril and Methodius and their disciples.

The lecture was attended by students and academics; the Bulgarian Embassy in London was represented by Svetozar Dimitrov, Second Secretary at the Embassy’s Political Affairs Section.
