Presentation of the Implementation of Bulgaria’s EU Presidency Priorities

The Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria Konstantin Dimitrov visited Edinburgh on June 6-7 where he took part in an evidence session with the Scottish Parliament’s Culture, Tourism, Europe and External Relations Committee. The Ambassador presented the implementation of the core priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the European Council.
He also held one-to-one meetings with a representative of the Scottish government, Dr. Alasdair Allan, Minister for International Development and Europe, as well as with Ms. Ruth Davidson, leader of the largest opposition party – the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party. Among the issues discussed were Brexit and the Bulgarian community in Scotland, the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkans, the Multiannual Financial Framework and the Dublin Regulation.
