We inform the citizens that regarding the declared state of emergency in Bulgaria and in connection with the need to introduce crisis measures due to the announcement of a pandemic of the COVID-19 by the World Health Organization, from 17.03.2020 to 13.04.2020, the Consular Department of the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Edirne shall cease to accept applications for the issuance of Bulgarian personal documents, except in cases of urgency, which shall be considered individually.

Acceptance of applications for short-stay visas (type "C") is carried out only in the centers of external suppliers and commercial intermediaries accredited to the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Edirne.

Applications for long-stay visas (type "D") shall be suspended, except in cases where a work permit has been issued by the Employment Agency.

During the same period no documents will be accepted for the establishment, acquisition, restoration or release of Bulgarian citizenship.

Emergency and urgent consular cases will be dealt with individually.
