Borislav Dimitrov

Borislav Dimitrov was born on August 29, 1967. He graduated from the 91st German Language High School in Sofia. He acquired his higher education at the National Military University "Vasil Levski" - Veliko Tarnovo, majoring in "Communication Engineering and Technology". He holds a Master's degree in World Economy and International Economic Relations from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia.

He has experience in both the public and private sectors. From 1991 to 1996 he worked in the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Bulgaria. From 1996 to 2002 he worked consecutively as a marketing specialist at Balkan Airlines and Gas Petroleum.

In 2002 he was started working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. So far, he has completed three appointments abroad:

- 2002 - 2005 - Second Secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye;

- 2009 - 2012 - Counselor at the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye;

- 2014 - 2015 Charge d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran and Deputy Head of Mission until 2018

From 2018 to 2020 he worked in the Situation Center Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.
