Participation of Ambassador Yalnazov in a meeting of the Polish Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and European Affairs

At the invitation of the Polish Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and European Affairs, Ambassador Emil Yalnazov took part in a meeting of the Committee dedicated to the conclusion of the Bulgarian Presidency and the presentation of the priorities of the Austrian Presidency of the EU Council, on 25th of September. In addition to the members of the Committee, Mr. Konrad Shimanski, State Secretary (Minister of State) of European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the meeting. The meeting was led by Marek Rocki (Civil Platform), chairman of the Senate Committee.

Ambassador Yalnazov made a statement on the achievements and results of the Bulgarian Presidency on the main priorities of its program, highlighting Bulgaria's contribution to re-launching the European perspective of the Western Balkan countries. Our diplomat has also highlighted the intensification and funding of connectivity projects, as well as the general improvement of the climate of cooperation in the region. The video clip, summarizing the results and achievements of our presidency, was projected. The Ambassador stressed the continuity within the trio and congratulated the Austrian Presidency on its work during the first three months. Ambassador Yalnazov also noted the positive results of the meetings within the parliamentary dimension during the Bulgarian presidency.

The Ambassador of Austria to Poland Werner Almhofer made a presentation of the priorities of the Austrian Presidency, highlighting the continuity principle and gave a high mark on the achievements of the Bulgarian Presidency. He made a presentation on the priorities of the Austrian Presidency and the work done upto this date, including during the Salzburg Leaders Meeting.
