On January 9, 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Georgi Vodenski, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. During the ceremony, President Tokayev noted the good bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Kazakhstan, emphasizing the high potential for their deepening in all areas - political, economic, cultural. Highly appreciated was the visit in 2025 of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rumen Radev, to Astana and its role in the development of the cooperation between the two countries.
