Ambassadors’ History Seminar

On 19 June, 2019, at the Residence of the Bulgarian Ambassador in Helsinki the next of the Historical Seminars series, dedicated to the past of Finland took place. The seminar is organized by Ambassador Martin Ivanov.
Guest speakers were Dr. Mikka Voutilainen of the University of Jyvaskyula and Prof. Anti Heikkinen of the University of Helsinki who presented their study on the European famine which took the lives of nearly 10% of Finnish population in the late 1860s. The seminar was attended by Ambassadors of Malaysia, Ireland, the U.K., the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Iceland, Nicaragua and members of the Finnish Academy.
