An interactive event was held at the Bulgarian Embassy in Beijing to show the similarities in the cultural heritage of Bulgaria and China.
The old Bulgarian custom of “Sugar-art” (mainly for sugaring apples), has its parallel in the traditional Chinese culture where it is known as “tang hulu” (sugared hawthorn).
Kids of different nations took part in the event, including students from the Bulgarian school "St. St. Cyril and Methodius ”, kids of foreign diplomats and also students from a local Chinese school.
The main goal of the event was to let the kids get acquainted with the traditions and to promote an interactive cultural dialogue.
