Eleonora Dimitrova
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Federative Republic of Brazil
Eleonora Dimitrova was born on 14th of June 1972 in the city of Varna, Bulgaria. She graduated the German Language School, Varna and has a master degree in International Economic Relations from the Economic University of Varna. Ambassador Dimitrova works for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria since 2001.
Since December 2025 Mrs Eleonora Dimitrova is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Federative Republic of Brazil, accredited to Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Suriname and Guyana
Ambassador Dimitrova has been serving as diplomat in the embassies of Bulgaria in Libya, Germany, the Czech Republic and Brazil. From 2019 till 2023 she was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and the Maldives.
During her career at the MFA she has been working on different positions such as First secretary, Europe II Directorate, Counselor, Crisis center Directorate and Presscenter Directorate, Counselor at EU policies and institutions Directorate, as well as Director of Information and Public Relations Directorate, of Presscenter Directorate and of Strategic Communications and Public Diplomacy Directorate.
She has been decorated with the Golden insignia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria
